Experience
• Home Inspector and Moisture Testing – Over 1000 home inspections and moisture
tests combined. Moisture Testing involves taking moisture level readings in the
sheating behind the exterior siding where high levels of moisture should NOT be.
Some types of siding such as vinyl can be tested using a scanner. Other types such
as stucco involves drilling 2 small holes 3/16" Dia. in various locations. Probes are
then inserting to get a moisture level reading.

Residential passive solar design; Designed layouts of solar panels
on residential properties

an insulation subcontractor. Performed quantity takeoffs from
blueprints and consulted with builders on energy efficient
designs on residential

The audit process is very similar to the home
inspection process. I describe the home insulation, windows,
caulking, weather
stripping, and the heating system. We make recommendations
for energy and
cost saving improvements. Throughout the course of the audit,
I gave the
homeowners a short course on energy management. This provided
them with a
better understanding on how their own decisions affected their
energy
consumption.
